How TextRebates helped a major wine/spirits brand increase X

Their Needs
One of our customers is a large wine and spirits brand who is known for XYZ. They needed help figuring out how to do X. They tried X, but wanted to see if TextRebates could help them do it better.

Our Approach
We worked with their Job Title(s) to create an offer that would drive X metric. We created the offer, provided the printing/merchandising, handled the mobile payment redemption through our custom software, and captured SMS subscribers.

Their goal was to have X results. Our campaign help them hit those goals and more.
Campaign highlights

    We provided a cashback incentive for 4 brands across 5 states in Q4 of 2023
  • Offers
    Consumers were offered $5 cash back for 1 bottle, $12 for 2 bottles, and $20 for 3 bottles
  • Distribution
    Our offer was distributed by 3 distributors and X retailers
  • Offers Claimed
    300+ receipts were processed and ~$4000 in payouts were sent to consumers
  • Sell-through
    Each brand sold an average of 150 bottles, 1.7 bottles/receipt, and an average receipt total of $124
  • Marketing Opt-in
    65% of the 371 unique consumers opted into SMS Marketing
Demographic data
TextRebates was able to provide data about what was purchased and by whom.

Seeing the breakdown by brand and bottle size redeemed enabled the client to better understand xyz.

Each brand was also broken down by age group.

This data was (the same/different) than what they usually know about their clients.

By being an individual purchaser, it was more accurate than their surveys

Capturing mobile subscribers
TextRebates was able to capture 243 new mobile subscribers across their 4 brands.

The client can now use those lists to send future marketing promotions or conduct user surveys.

Traditionally, users don’t have as many reasons/opportunities to opt into SMS marketing for brands directly.

Post campaign recommendations
Based on the success of the campaign, we were able to provide the following recommendations to the client:

Gather distributor feedback for print merchandising optimization e.g. rep & retailer pain points, new POD & display successes

Engage new Mobile Subscribers with follow up SMS e.g. current rebate offers, sweeps, surveys, cocktail recipes, events

Include new channels for 2024 promotions e.g. tastings, events, social media, paid digital, eCommerce
